I have always looked to the skies, so after secondary school, I went to school and got my private pilot licence, but academics called and I moved on to university to study space sciences. My undergraduate degree combined physics and computer science
and this led the way to atmospheric numerical modelling. After working for years on climate, air quality and pollution modelling, I changed continents and planets, moving from Canada to Belgium to study the atmosphere of Mars.
After a hard day’s work in front of the computer, I like to detach from technology and get outside, camping, hiking and canoeing, the wilder the better.
